Macabre: A Halloween Exhibition

30th October - 5th November 2023

Opening night: artists and guests enjoy the show.

Recently, The Art Society held its first irst exhibition of the academic year 23/24, titled ‘Macabre’. The exhibition featured member’s work in a range of media depicting all things creepy and dark.

We were honoured to use the Heritage Museum as our gallery, the historic building definitely contributed to the spooky ambience. On the opening night we welcomed the artists to celebrate their work with drinks and the exhibitions first audience.

Want to fond out more about what inspired the work in this show?

Take a look at the Exhibition Catalogue for an idea of each artist’s background and inspiration.

Big thanks to our exhibition coordinator, Elizabeth, who worked tirelessly to bring this (morbid) vision to life.

We hope you enjoyed this exhibition; keep an eye out for our next exhibition in semester two!
